CODERS LAB GOES TO THE IBERIAN PENINSULA

Poland's largest programming school is kicking off 2021 with a bang, having just signed a deal with an exclusive Franchisee in Spain.

Coders Lab school began expanding abroad in 2019 when it launched its first franchise overseas in Romania. Since then, it has not slowed down. Yet in 2019, Indonesia joined the Coders Lab network, followed by Austria at the end of 2020. The new year 2021 has already brought another opening. This time, it is the Spanish who will be able to take part in the courses developed by Polish programmers.

The exclusive franchisee of Coders Lab in Spain is Oxygen Workspace, a coworking office that aims to become a talent point of reference for companies, freelancers, and professionals. Besides the coworking services, it has two more goals: providing freelancing services to companies, as well as training for freelancers, companies, and new professionals looking to improve their knowledge and performance. Due to the partnership with Coders Lab, these two goals will be pursued more efficiently.

-As in many other countries, there's a great need for IT professionals in Spain. The economy is evolving so fast that we see new technologies and uses of those technologies being released almost every month and that is creating a huge demand for professionals at every level. Good and creative coding professionals are the most important resource to keep the economy growing and we want to be part of it – says Jose Antonio Alonso Mayor, the founder, and CEO of Oxygen Workspace. - We chose to partner with Coders Lab for many reasons but to name only a few I could highlight their flexible approach to the market from the training contents point of view, their wide experience in IT training and the support we felt from the very beginning in making this partnership a success.

Marcin Tchórzewski, CEO and founder of Coders Lab admits that Spain from the beginning was one of the most desirable destinations on the map of Coders Lab’s foreign expansion.

- I am glad that we can welcome Oxygen Workspace as another Partner in our network. Spain is a very interesting market to us. On the one hand, it is a very developed economy with many advanced industries. On the other hand, the country is struggling with significant economic problems, especially concerning the labor market. The unemployment rate for the past decade has remained at double-digit levels and among young people has even exceeded 50%. Our courses are a response to the needs related to the training of young professionals and their professional activation. I believe that with our new Partner we will be very successful in Spain – says Marcin Tchórzewski.

The international expansion of Coders Lab is based on franchising. In this model of cooperation, the Franchisee is responsible for marketing, sales, organization, and running of courses. Coders Lab retains full control over the product and the content of the courses. The IT school also has its own operational know-how that makes it easier for the Franchisee to enter and develop in the software bootcamp market.

Priority markets for Coders Lab include Central and Western Europe as well as Asia and Africa. We hope that the year 2021 will also result in a long-term cooperation and we will be able to shape the IT skills in an increasing number of future professionals.
