As an IT employee, you can take part in creating fashion. With this, you simply switch on an overlay with the appropriate garment during a video conference! There is no need to stock your home wardrobe with every possible outfit - a digital wardrobe will take care of the job. This is another significant step towards augmented reality, which is knocking loudly on our door already.

2. The virtual world of Nike

The Nike brand has recently found its place in the meta-world by creating its virtual meta-city. It is filled with buildings, arenas and pitches where you can create and organise competitions, contests and tournaments. All you need to take part in them is a smartphone. Deep fake - a technique of combining and overlaying images using artificial intelligence - is associated with manipulation. And in a way, it is. But it can be used in an interesting, positive way, like apps that face swap your face into movie scenes. The entire interactive part is the work of the programmers.

 

4. AI-based code-writing tool

Development teams are also involved in creating tools that make their work become fabulously easy! An example of this is GitHub (if you're thinking about the IT industry and don't yet know what this is - you should catch up) with its modern solutions. A novelty is the GitHub Capilot they introduced - a tool that significantly speeds up writing code. By combining artificial intelligence with the analysis of enormous data sets, the above tool can suggest to the programmer which formula to put in the code next. A professional hint system? That’s what we’re talking about! 

Last but not least, there are all the banking applications, subscription platforms (thank you Netflix, HBO GO or Spotify during hard lockdowns!) or services that allow you to order your favourite food home (made by someone always tastes better!).
